Permaculture consultation on the Mid North Coast and in the Hunter
The crossover. This is where subtropical species meet stone fruit and temperate orchards, and where species selection matters more than anywhere else on the route.

A permaculture consultation is where every garden on the route begins: a paid walk over your land in Port Macquarie, Taree, Forster, Rainbow Flat, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley to read it, understand what you want from it, and agree on the first move. Nothing is designed, quoted or planted before it.
I travel the east coast two to three times a year, so there are plenty of chances to book a consultation and begin a long-term relationship with Food Forest Journey.
The crossover: what this climate asks for
Warm enough near the coast for avocados and bananas in a sheltered corner; cool enough inland for figs, persimmons and low-chill stone fruit. Most gardens here can grow both, if each plant is put in the right spot.
So a consultation here is a microclimate hunt: the warm wall, the frost hollow, the windbreak, the morning sun. Getting those right is what lets one garden carry two climates' worth of food.
Plants that tend to belong here: Citrus, figs, persimmon, pomegranate and feijoa; low-chill stone fruit; avocado and bananas where it's warm and sheltered; perennial herbs and support species to hold it together. The final list always comes from your site, not from a template.
